The Done-For-You Digital Marketing System, Explained

Done-for-you digital marketing means the agency owns the strategy, calendar, execution, reporting and optimisation of the full marketing operation. The client approves strategy at setup, supplies subject-matter input, and replies to leads. Everything else — website, CRM, content, social, email, SEO, analytics — is delivered by the agency as one coordinated system. Forever Traffic is Shergroup Digital’s done-for-you programme, priced transparently and sold on a 12-month minimum because that is how long a marketing system needs to compound.

Most small business owners have heard the phrase ‘done for you’ applied to digital marketing. Not all of them know what it really covers, who does what, and what actually changes for the client when the engagement starts. This is the honest version.

What done for you actually means

There are three ways to approach digital marketing as a small business.

You can do it yourself. You write the blogs, schedule the social posts, send the emails, manage the CRM, run the ads. This works for a small number of owners who are natural marketers and have the time. Most do not.

You can do it with someone. You hire a freelancer or a small team to help. You still own the calendar, the strategy, the brand voice, and the execution decisions. The freelancer delivers pieces. This works for businesses that want marketing to be a managed part of their own team.

Or you can have it done for you. You hand over the whole operation to an agency with a defined system. The agency owns the strategy, the calendar, the execution, the reporting, and the optimisation. Your job is to approve key decisions, provide subject-matter input, and stay out of the way of the work.

Forever Traffic is a done-for-you system. That is a deliberate design choice, and it is the right choice for a specific type of client.

What we do, what you do

A done-for-you engagement is not a black box. Here is the division of work.

We build the website on WP Engine and maintain it. We set up the CRM (ActiveDemand) and the lead notification workflow. We seed 2,000 cold contacts from RampedUp at launch, alongside your existing client list. We publish three blog posts a week, run your social on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, send weekly emails, run the SEO programme, optimise the Google Business Profile, and report monthly.

You approve the strategy at setup. You sign off on brand voice and tone at launch. You tell us about the wins, losses, cases, testimonials and announcements worth writing about. You stay accountable to replying to the leads that come in. And you make the commercial decisions about pricing, packaging and client acquisition.

That is a clean split. Nothing we do can succeed without client input on wins, losses and real stories. Nothing you do needs to involve writing, scheduling, publishing or chasing analytics.

    Who delivers it

A Forever Traffic engagement is not delivered by one person. Our model runs on a small specialist team, each person doing what they are best at.

A client lead owns the relationship and the monthly review. A WordPress developer owns the website and the technical updates. A content lead runs the blog and newsletter. A social lead runs the channels. An SEO lead runs keyword research and ranking work. A CRM lead runs the automations and the email sequences. A brand lead oversees voice consistency and visual identity.

You do not need to know all of their names. You need to know your client lead and trust that the system behind them is running. For clients who want visibility into the team, we introduce everyone in month one.

A typical month on the system

Once Forever Traffic is running, your month looks roughly like this.

Week one. The client lead sends you last month’s report. Three key numbers — traffic, leads, conversions — and a short narrative about what is working and what we are changing. Twenty-minute conversation, no preparation required from you.

Weeks two to four. Content goes live without you seeing it post by post. You have approved the tone, the topics, the templates at setup. Every blog post, social post and email follows that agreement. If something is off, you flag it and we adjust.

Throughout the month. Leads come into your inbox from the CRM. You reply to them, close the ones you can close, and tell the client lead what happened. That feedback loop shapes the next month’s content and targeting.

End of month. The cycle restarts. The report comes. The conversation happens.

That is the whole rhythm. Ninety minutes of your time per month, at most, for a full marketing operation.

What it costs, and what is and is not included

The commercial terms are simple and transparent.

Forever Traffic is £999 per month in the UK and $1,299 per month in the US, plus tax, with a 12-month minimum engagement. Included in that: the website build on WP Engine, hosting, the CRM setup and operation, 2,000 RampedUp contacts at launch, three blog posts per week, social management on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, weekly emails, SEO programme, Google Business Profile management, monthly reporting.

Not included: paid ad spend. Google Ads, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads are billed directly by the platforms, and the management fee for running paid campaigns is quoted separately as an add-on. We do not mark up ad spend.

Also not included: complete rebrands, video production at scale, and bespoke design projects. Those are separate engagements, quoted separately when needed.

    Why 12 months

We are often asked why the term is twelve months and not three, or six.

The honest reason is that digital marketing systems compound. Month one is setup. Months two to four build the foundation — content base, search visibility, CRM behaviours. Months five to twelve are when the work done earlier starts showing up in the numbers.

Any engagement shorter than twelve months catches only the setup phase. The compounding never gets a chance to happen. Agencies that sell three-month engagements are either running short-term campaigns or running out the clock until you leave. Neither of those is what a system is.

Who done for you is right for

It is right for owner-led businesses that are busy enough to need consistent marketing and big enough that £12,000 or $15,600 of annual marketing investment is defensible against expected return. It is right for service businesses with client lifetime values in the five figures and up.

It is not right for pre-revenue businesses still figuring out what they sell. It is not right for businesses that want to keep strategic control of the content calendar. It is not right for businesses looking for a 90-day campaign.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What does ‘done for you’ digital marketing actually mean?

Done-for-you digital marketing means the agency owns the strategy, calendar, execution, reporting and optimisation of the full marketing operation. The client approves strategy at setup, supplies subject-matter input, and replies to the leads that come in. The agency handles everything else.

Who does what in a done-for-you agreement?

The agency delivers the website, CRM, content, social, email, SEO and reporting. The client approves the strategy, signs off on brand voice, contributes wins and stories for content, and replies to incoming leads. Typical client time commitment is under two hours per month.

Why does Forever Traffic require a 12-month minimum?

Digital marketing systems compound over time. Month one is setup, months two to four build the foundation, and months five to twelve are when the earlier work starts showing up in traffic and leads. A shorter engagement only covers setup and never reaches the compounding phase.

Is done-for-you marketing right for every small business?

No. It works best for owner-led service businesses with enough revenue to justify the investment and client lifetime values in the five figures or higher. It is not right for pre-revenue businesses, for owners who want day-to-day control of the content calendar, or for those looking for a short-term campaign.

Does Shergroup Digital mark up paid ad spend?

No. Clients pay the ad platforms directly. Shergroup Digital charges a separate management fee for running paid campaigns, quoted on top of the Forever Traffic monthly fee. This keeps the incentives aligned with results rather than with ad spend volume.
